✋ "I would hug you or hold your hand." And likely has done both several times by now. Kuja will be able to note that while Vivi is extremely affectionate within his circle, he doesn't like others to touch him. It is in fact progress that he's doing this.

💑 "You are my family." Vivi's yet to put any sort of word to what he feels for Kuja because it's hovering nebulously in the "guardian" area while also being a little unsure due to their past and his actual status as his creator making the whole thing awkward.

✊ "I would fight by your side." Tentatively at least. He would have to agree with why they were fighting, but he has no issue teaming up if they have a common goal.

Kuja uses the F word now. He is as shaken as you are.

Tsukasa's excellent company over tea. His earnesty and formality are both entertaining to watch in motion, and frankly Kuja has found it-- refreshing-- to allow himself to spend time with someone like him. Without. An angle. If he thought about it he would be totally boggled to realize it, but he really has 0 angle to spending time in Tsukasa's company. He just likes doing it.

🛡 Idk if we've ever discussed if Kuja can pick up on Nao being there, but if he can, he's got a wary eye out on Tsukasa, somewhat anticipating a day the situation starts to get out of control. He definitely wasn't like that when he GOT here. Kuja's had lots of first hand experience with taking someone else's Presence into his body and it going fantastically awry.

Kuja recently referred to Papyrus as a 'fond acquaintance,' and that about sums up his feelings. He'd be sad to see him go. He's a unique part of the timbre of Helltown, and being around him has taught Kuja a way of regarding existence as a nonhuman -- as a capital M Monster -- that's had a postivie effect on his complicated relationship to his identity.

_^😀😱 it seems like Papyrus has a grasp on the kind of unsavory person he can be, was, and in many ways still is. Rather than making him avoidant... Kuja's endeavoring to keep speaking with him.

Because... if there's no one who ever looks him in the eye and says they see the sharp teeth...

Kuja can't trust that he's got control of his impulsive urges toward. Uh. Well. Evil.

💑 vivi is quite a bit more than just kuja's magnum opus. but he is the most important thing he ever made.

Kuja knows very well a world where he never lost track of Vivi shortly after he created him would be a worse one. Surely he wouldn't have become anything like the sensitive, thoughtful boy he is today.

💙 but lately he can't help but think about all those missed days, after Vivi very solidly reminded him, it's not just Kuja whose time is running out. He remembers his own fish out of water bumblings. learning how to simply live, in the curious position of being a person who one day just Was, rather than maturing naturally. What were Vivi's like?

🤔 ...Kuja's sure he could never find it in his own heart to do what Vivi has.

🛡 if there's one thing that's clear now it's this.
