Yes! and I am all about challenging the way he thinks in fun ways he may not get the opportunity to in canon. Giving him a chance to accept the parts of him that are weird and “nonhuman” is just as important as recognizing his humanity, too. And even the smallest amounts of positive reinforcement goes a long for him. Especially after i yanked out one of his more important memories for that…

A scrunkly pet project is just the thing a cool and not at all nervous skeleton needs to take his mind off anxiety-inducing questions like where are they, why don't his and his brother's memories match, and are they going to starve / get killed by shadow wolves / something else awful.
