November's Standing Mysteries

Hiiii Austice ♥️ I've wanted to move to using the OOC comm more, and this is a great opportunity -- right now throughout the game, there's a whole host of standing questions being unveiled!

Following in this post is a list of what's new this month, or like, is still not quite answered.

I'm gonna make a top level for the major mysteries to discuss them. Please point out anything I've missed/feel free to add your own top levels!

So here's what we've got that I recall from this month:

- The coin pouch / six coins
- Some characters spawned into the game with special items in their acceptance posts
- The newest NPC, Hamtaro, a young lad who can read things we can't and has a confirmed kill count!
- SOMETHING IN THE LAKE?
- the recent fires
- Jiro's death
- what's in the fog
- the gem smashing incident on the train & Ala's disappearance
- what the coffin wants
- the missing hearts in the stained glass window (what happens when we fill them all in??? sharp objects seem to be doing it..)
- various mysterious notes

c/p'd from Wave's acceptance notice:

At some point after the dog attack if Wave returns to the train, she will find a smiley face drawn in the dust covering one of the windows of a passenger carriage. If she looks inside, she will find a small whistle on one of the seats that if she blows into it, doesn't appear to make a sound. It does cause a momentary "being watched" feeling, though.

She and Dainsleif have theorized that it may be similar to a magic artifact in that it can only be used for a specific purpose/at a specific time, but whether or not that's actually the case is a complete tossup, lmao. I kind of really hope it's a red herring but WHO KNOWS!!!! Not I!
