☀ Looks out the window... The weather continues to get colder as winter approaches, averaging in the high 50Fs to low 20Fs during the day and night respectively. The first two weeks of the month will see on-and-off rain, though it is not yet cold enough for snow to stick, and the wind blows strong enough at times to break off tree branches and send them flying through the air to smack people in the face if they're not paying attention.
☀ In the first half of the month during the rainy spell, the liquified mud of the graveyard acts like quicksand, dragging down anybody who tries to trample over its bones. The lake water, curiously, feels warmer than usual, although still cold. Do not drink the lake water. Animals in the forest appear more agitated than usual, prone to take the initiative and jump at people's faces rather than hiding or running.
☀ The fog gets thicker at night, and there is the feeling of more and more eyes following anybody who wanders outside past dark. Humanoid figures can be seen shrouded in fog at times— running, sitting, stabbing— but just like the town's "monsters," will disappear once a character approaches. For the characters, there will be a feeling of uncertain familiarity towards these shadows, kind of like when you think you recognize somebody but cannot remember their name and maybe you do not know them after all.
☀ Despite Lark's insistence that they'll be here soon, the rest of the townspeople do not magically appear the first Saturday of the month, although the event post will tie into this. There are pending investigations for the train and the dogs, so we'll see if the pit fall spike net interrogation trap does its job, and/or if we're just going to sit back and watch the church bell be destroyed.

Canon: Ensemble Stars!!
Plans: Mayoi has been out of commission from injuries the past few weeks, but he should be rested up enough now to be out and about again soon. This was partially because I knew I would be out of town for last week, but I am back! And so is he!
I would love cr with anyone I don't already have CR with and am pretty open to plotting! Also, Tiger brought up to Mayoi that he could organize the towns supply stock and while he was very No!!! about it, he will actually probably do that, so I'll be pondering over how Mayoi can get started on that and how I can work it into some IC interactions. If you've any thoughts about that hit me up!
Anyone wanna do some idol shit? We have a good handful of us in this game and the enstars cast were talking about it being fun to maybe have a group practice or something.

Plans: I'm winging it like I always do. I have no goals here, tbh, and Jiro is just going to try to communicate with more animals, maybe find out why they're agitated. Wandering the woods in the fog and maybe looking into the "monsters", because Ala suggested they were there for protection and not malevolence. Idk, I'm up for anything.

Plans: Sans will be getting used to this place and snooping around, both on the other characters and just the town in general. He found a weird ring but he hasn't really mentioned it yet since it was just a weird ring on the ground. He'll be appreciating the rain, since as far as he remembers this is the first time he's experiencing it.
Mostly Sans is in that "get to know people" sort of mode, so approach him with anything and he'll try to get a feel for your character and talk to them! We'll see what this month's event brings as well.

Character: Barnaby Brooks Jr., aka Bunny-chan, Junior-san, Barney, Bunbun...
Canon: Tiger & Bunny
Plans: He's prioritising keeping everyone safe after the dog attack, so Barnaby will spend a lot of time patrolling and keeping tabs on people to make sure everyone's okay... whiiich I guess will include the graveyard once he realises it's dangerous, and warning people to stay away from the forest unless necessary, since the animals have become agitated and more aggressive.
I FEEL LIKE HE'D DISCOURAGE ALL THE SHENANIGANS WITH THE CHURCH BELL... however I oocly find it very entertaining so I am very happy for him to just not know about what's going down until it's too late. who asked the no fun police anyway???
Aside from that I don't think I have any further investigation ideas until the event post goes up, but as Barnaby mentioned on his network post, he's happy to accompany your character to protect them if they want to investigate or go anywhere potentially dangerous. Just lmk!

Character: Hiiro Amagi

Plans: I kind of dropped the ball on tagging more things because I was canon reviewing intensely during the weekend so I definitely want to make up for it in the event.
Hiiro is pretty simple in his goals. He is used to the whole survival aspect of things so he will continue focusing on selective hunting and fishing, as well as taking care of his own group. Hiiro's philosophy is survive first, everything else later so... He does like making new friends so if he hasn't tagged you, I will find a way.
Hiiro has insanely good (enstars logic) instincts, so he can have a pretty specific impression on someone based on that. Like thinking Mayoi emits an evil aura or Rinne smelling like blood... you know, normal human things. Anyway, I don't want to meta anyone too much but it would probably a good way to jump into CR. Note that despite what he might feel, it doesn't necessarily mean it is automatic good/bad CR. He adores Mayoi despite emitting evil so... yeah.

Plans: Still sort of vague at this point. I do want to try to get Ib someone to stay with so she isn't on her own anymore. I'm also planning on getting her out to explore a little more so anyone who wants to go with her for some shenanigans would be very welcome. Character: THE GREAT PAPYRUS (alas, w/o battle body)
Canon: Undertale
Plans: Building first impressions with the various characters in the game, dipping Papyrus's foot in the various investigation prompts up for exploring, and establishing where Papyrus is at emotionally with all this stuff. Enthusiasm at befriending so many humans, the various existential concerns, and concern for their future safety are all churning around in there so far.
He's described as someone who "finds difficulty in interesting places," largely in the sense of being someone who makes whimsical changes to his surroundings to increase the challenge for himself (and others). Ask him about his tall sink or the many puzzles he built on the road outside town, back underground. So things like the bell theft and the terrible ideas of a pit trap are right up his alley, and I'd like him to continue participating in / enabling shenanigans like these. Ala may be siccing him on the question of repairing the train??
Eventually he'll start capslocking and sharing selfies with the network, as one does. This may include relaying messages for Sans (who, understandably, is not all about that blood donation thing).

Plans: I don't have any solid plans! I'm open to CR and plotting. If you want anyone to antagonize your character for whatever reason, Rinne is your guy. He usually doesn't do it without reason, but we can find one together.
I THINK he and Kotetsu will be making a memorial for those who died/were abducted during the dog attack, because Rinne feels super bad about it and if he becomes responsible for another death, he might go through another Joker arc. He was already in the middle of his first one.
I'm open to idol things, particularly because he's forgotten why he's an idol in the first place. lmao. He loves singing and dancing. He stepped all over the receptionist's desk at the library while holding a one-man concert for Ib, so I'm up for silly things like that.
Otherwise Rinne will probably be checking on other people (while being his obnoxious self) or practicing idol shit with the Enstars cast, just to keep everyone sharp. Maybe people can catch him sparring with Hiiro too, idk.

Plans: Seconding Achsah here and saying that I don't have concrete goals atm! I'm just winging everything as I go, getting Tenn into situations where he can feel at least a little helpful. I guess he's the resident secretary now?! And probably gonna jump into idol training shenanigans. He doesn't want to get rusty, he's got shit to do back at home and he can't let people down on the idol front...
He's a pretty pleasant person and has good intentions, but I also love playing his meaner side, so I'm open to CR for that as well!! Otherwise, allies and friends are good, too!
I'm also hoping to do some investigating so if anyone's looking to ask about any of the new developments (graveyard, lake, etc.) and would like another person to jump in, I can volunteer for that.

I HAVE, A FEW
- make a mysterious glowing crystal the size of a backpack he will be leaving around town because it's too damn heavy. This is his IC diary. It can be "read" by basking in its light, absorbing the information directly. Kuja believes only a fellow Genome would be able to do this, but I have decided any character with any kind of psychic predilections or other mind-based powers can. If no one falls under this umbrella... Let's get creative!!
- Kuja will try to throw himself into situations that will induce another trance. Trance, ftr, is triggered either by feeling like your life is in danger, or being in a state of very high emotion and willpower. Kuja mostly thinks it comes from being mad or in danger, though.
- getting used to the setting! Kuja is still trying to puzzle out. Uh. Whuh happen. He's a little sure he died? Gonna ask other characters if they died, maybe.
- fixate on what the hell is going on with the graveyard. He wants nothing to do with the place but also he feels a little obsessed with it since he WOKE UP THERE BURIED
- Kuja is interested in making the acquaintance of the rest of the game cast, as in actively looking for people! He'll be asking around how many people are here, and looking to meet the ones he hasn't yet. There's no way he can get the measure of this stage if he doesn't know all the players. He believes if he collects enough information about the inhabitants, especially other strangers to this land, he can make a guess as to why he's here. Still pretty sure he's dead.
- the first time kuja manages to enter Trance, he is going to ditch whatever was currently going on to go to the center of town, and try to create another entrance to Memoria -- to see if he can, and maybe to stare at it with a harrowed expression wondering what to do next. He is not going to be able to do this successfully, but I have lots of ideas of what WILL happen that I. May need mod approval for, since the premise do this game is to do with memories? Tl;dr it'll create a weird wobbly flashback zone for like half a day, tops.

Part 2 electric boogaloo
Here is my idea of how it could work! I am extremely open to altering it/it not progressing this far if it doesn't work w the setting!
He is not going to be able to Rend Space And Time To Touch The Collective Memory Of Existence, but what he WILL do is make a Concerning Energy Orb, cause some visual warping, and optionally give characters weird flashbacky shit in the immediate area. I figure I'd leave it to mun discretion what characters can see what -- Memoria in ff9 goes back and forth on if characters all witness scenes that are playing out, so you can have other people see stuff too.
- in ff9 the memories are not just from people but from places too, but considering this is a mystery game I don't, like, expect to see any of that.
- I'm picturing kind of like, a patchwork of sights overlaid on the area near Kuja, but it wavers like a mirage to show the normal town..
- the 'Mini Memoria' will take the form of a glowing, roiling orb of energy, and Kuja will be right beside it feeding it all the power he can, even after his Trance ends and there's no chance of success. Unless stopped by outside factors he will keep at it until he's totally drained.
- he will not be doing this again because, if nothing else, of the ensuing migraine from hell
- If he figures out the pattern behind the power dampening, he's gonna do this at night. I'd like for the effects (and the orb) to last a good few hours, giving characters a chance to run into it if you want them to despite the time.

Plans: lbr I'm new and am still absorbing these info posts. I will have something more concrete next time.
- he needs proper clothes lmao. Phantom came in wearing this and he's going to want something more comfortable for himself.
- He's gonna try and break into the townhall even if it's locked down tight. Also break into houses, etc, especially if they look like they've been inhabited recently.
- He woke up in the forest near the west side of town so he wants to investigate that further, especially with what he woke up with, but people who would like to come with him would be warned to be careful since he thinks there might be terrible, illness-inducing things. He might also... get into fights with the local wildlife, whether or not they attack him first. He also may or may not attempt to adopt any that are cat-like because he misses his kitty. (he will fail bc he's dumb)

SORRY IT'S ME AGAIN
So, Kuja's ended up wondering if the fog is like the Mist from his setting - that is, comprised of restless souls not allowed to move on. He has the ability to stir up the ire of these souls to create scary undead monsters -- and the only way he has to test if the fog has spirits in it and isn't just Spooky is to go ahead and try doing just that!
Obviously this is. Not probably gonna go swimmingly if it works. Kuja is quite confident on his ability to fight anything that appears, and won't think twice about doing this - he'll learn something either way!
I'd say this ought to be an investigation rather than just a question? So I'd like to figure out someone for him to be in cahoots for this bad idea with! And obviously there's a lot going on right now so this will be happening later in the month, so. It'll be either forward-dated or we can wait a while.

kuja's is uhhhh. even though he doesn't remember it anymore, he was made to kill people -- so i feel like there could be some kind of 'predator' flag going off? he might have a vibe kinda similar to when you're around a big cat and you're hoping it will continue sitting still staring at nothing while you try to not be too interesting.
alternatively: it's kinda fizzy like a soda. or a bath bomb you just tossed in the tub because of him being a dedicated mage.

Anyway, I'd like for Papyrus to be in cahoots with this project for personal reasons!
Papyrus is under the impression that he (and Sans, he thought) are undead monsters... in the sense of, human remains that got cleaned up and changed with monster magic to be animated and ensouled. Living skeletons, as opposed to dead skeletons.
He doesn't know if "Mist" is a thing, and he's pretty sure his soul isn't that of a restless dead human (there were only so many human souls, all very much accounted for, after all)... But this sounds vaguely familiar to what (he believes) he was brought to life with! To Papyrus's mind, this is a great opportunity to maybe figure out the rest of the animation process to maybe try doing sometime himself...
And, depending on how honest Kuja is about the "scary undead monsters" part, Papyrus could be hoping to be a good example to undead monsterkind and persuade them not to go on a murdery rampage. (He can't have worse luck with it than he did with the dogs, right?)

I figure we're about ready to make an investigation request then-- I know the game as a whole is planning to have another town hall meeting soon, So I think an interesting question is whether we want this to happen before or after that
I also think After we've gotten The results of the investigation it would be good to make either a whole new top level or entry for this-- So that other people Can feel welcome to jump in on the chaos(?) That ensues!!

Right now I'm still seeing Papyrus's main contributions being a mix of describing what he "knows" of his own origin, helping keep watch during the experiment, attempting to talk the monsters around, and helping fight when it inevitably goes awry.
